Jeep has launched a social media campaign and they want you to bring back road trips. A more fuel efficient road trip that is, the campaign is for their two vehicles Jeep Compass and Jeep Patriot which delivers 30 mpg highway. The “30 Miles of Freedom” is a two phase competition that launched online in late August and will end in December with two consumers eligible to win either a new 2014 Compass or Patriot.
Here is how it works, consumers submit their ideal 30-mile road trip which must take place in the continental United States and must be up to/no more than thirty miles, from starting point to the end point of the final destination. Six finalists will be announced on October 7th – three for the Jeep Compass, three for the Jeep Patriot – to move on to the next phase. Those six finalists will be given the opportunity to take a Jeep Compass or Jeep Patriot on the ideal road trip they described as part of their submission. Each “30 Miles of Freedom” road trip will be filmed and submitted for voting. Final voting online of the videos by fans will take place from November 25 through December 7. The two vehicle winners will be announced by the Jeep Brand in early December based on online votes.
